Updates…..

The surface is calm, but underneath the cogs are in motion.  Maybe I’ve mixed two metaphors there but while things maybe seem quiet in the world of Toby Jepson the truth (the whole truth!) is that, behind the scenes, all systems are go as we prepare for 2007 – the Year Of Toby Jepson.

For now the band have all gone back to their respective day jobs but Toby is constantly writing and working on the songs that will form next years album. 

The DVD!

The oft-delayed DVD is in development hell (blame the lawyers) but it is moving onwards; Producer Neil is working through hours and hours and hours of raw footage from TV appearances, dressing rooms, theatres, pubs, leisure centres, rehearsal barns, old toilets etc – there’s a lot of it and he’s finding the very best bits for your viewing pleasure.

Band shakeup

Some sad news - Nick has left the band; he left the following statement

“After 4 years I have decided to leave the Toby Jepson band.  I am very proud of what we have achieved but the time is right to move on.  It has been a pleasure to play guitar for you all and you have given me many happy memories.

Of course, no rock band would be complete with a lead guitar player so I’m pleased to announce that Dean Howard will be filling Nick’s shoes (not literally although he was spotted carrying a large tub of custard a few days ago).  Dean has been a friend of the band for several years; in fact, he’s the guitarist on the original demo version of ‘Forgiveness’.  Word is that he’s fitting in already and looking forward to recording and playing live….on which my lips are truly sealed for now......

....but I’ve also been through Toby’s sock drawer and found some old demo tapes which will be making their way to you one way or another.
