As you will have probably noticed, tobyjepson.com has been very quiet of late.  As you are such amazing supporters I feel I owe you an explanation.

Firstly, the last 12 months have been an incredible ride for me, and in many ways have started me on a journey that has only just begun. What with Fastway, the Channel 4 TV show, the GUN reformation and the solo stuff I have seen my life as a musician suddenly become a full time exciting proposition again for the first time in over 10 years.

So it has taken a while to come to a number of conclusions as to where I need to concentrate and focus my efforts. That process is still on-going and will no doubt continue that way well into this year. The result of it is that I have had to scale back certain areas of my life to accommodate others. One such area is the solo work. Before it seems like I am stopping performing as a solo artist, let me say this: I WILL complete the Guitar, Bass and Drums EP trilogy and am in fact writing it now. It will however probably take longer than at first planned, so you will have to bear with me. I will honour the original concept fully and have every intention of doing some touring to support it at some stage although I would suggest it will be later than sooner. The booklet will come as promised along with the original idea of re-releasing the whole collection as a stand alone record, albeit probably remixed and re mastered.

As far as the website goes, I have decided to re-invent it and redesign the whole thing to freshen it up and also to give a more direct emphasis on my emerging projects and activities. I know it has been a little slim on news over the last year or so, and that is something I want to change so it means that the team that administrate it will be working with me to generally give the site a more fluid, up to date feel.

Whilst I have been debating what to do and how to do it,  Craig our heroic team captain has been quite unwell and has had to take some time off. As he has been the main reason why the site has improved so much since its original concept, I am more than happy to wait for him to tell me when he is ready to continue the evolution of tobyjepson.com. In the mean time, I shall be working with Nige to make sure that any new developments are posted as and when they get confirmed.
