WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW?

Hi
folks, thought I'd give you an update seeing as how I have been silent
for a couple of weeks...
LIVE.
Firstly, I now have an agent who is currently booking my solo tour that
looks like it will be early next year! Why? well to cut a long story, I
need as much time as possible to get this record right and that will
take time and organisation, so we have plumped for possibly Jan 07, I
will let you know how this works out in the coming weeks. I will say
that we plan to do between 12 and 18 shows on that tour and they will be
into clubs. I am trying to get the tickets on sale asap. In addition to
this tour there is the possibility of doing a short set of dates in
September around a small festival date (indoor) I have been asked to
headline...this will be announced very soon once we have tied up the
details. Also (yes there is more) I have been asked to take part in a
big open air event in Wales in the summer, as well as the possibility of
a couple of other festivals, but because I am on the 'come back' trail,
I have to wait till the last minute to know whether this will
happen...as soon as I know you will...
Recording.
I am in discussion with a label about the making of the record, it is an
indie but has a good track record. I am planning to still work with
Townsend Records in the UK and for all on line stuff, but am looking for
a partner to help out with the finance so the plan at the mo is to work
towards a summer recording period with a view to releasing the album
before Christmas. The record is in the process of being written as I
type with half a dozen tracks in the pipeline so far...Watch this space.
Website.
We are currently in discussion with a new hosting company who will
oversee the re invention of the site. It will mean a new look, more
downloads, i tunes connections and video streaming facilities etc. I am
hoping this will happen very soon, but as ever want it to be right and
better than we have already so this needs careful planning.
DVD.
I am about to announce the DVD details in conjunction with Townsend
Records, initially it will be something from the past to complete the
circle and then I plan to put out a DVD that will be exclusively about
my solo stuff with studio footage from the Refresh period and from the
new sessions, live footage from the Refresh tour and THUNDER, a quick
'Video' we shot for fun in rehearsals for the THUNDER tour and plenty of
interview footage. You will have to bear with me on this one as it is
taking a huge amount of compiling and transferring from the various
media sources....
Everything
else.
Well, I see this year as year 1: meaning I have to make this record my
calling card for the next couple of years. I am tired of flogging the
past as proud of it as I am , this has to be a fresh start and I intend
to make it a huge record that can (hopefully) carry me into the next
phase of re development...
